Killaloe — The St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation held its annual golf fundraiser this past Friday at the Homestead at Wolf Ridge golf course. The day was full of sunshine, friends and laughter and all for a great cause. This year marked 19 years for the tournament. Over the years the fundraiser has raised money to help the hospital purchase some much needed or updated equipment. There was a total of 152 players which made up 38 teams. Some familiar faces and new faces headed out onto the golf course with the hopes of being the winning team this year. The teams moved along according to schedule so there were no delays or hold ups at the holes.

Just before the dinner got underway at around 6 p.m. Erin Gienow Executive Director for the foundation thanked everyone for coming out and supporting the great fundraiser. Gienow mentioned that without the support of the people in attendance the hospital would not be able to purchase much needed equipment. Erin went on to say how much they appreciate the people in the Madawaska Valley and surrounding area.
