
A band stretching from Algonquin Provincial Park across all of Renfrew County is under a severe thunderstorm watch.
Environment and Climate Change Canada notes that, “Conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thurderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and torrential rain.
- Wind gusts up to 110 km/h
- Torrential rainfall with amounts possibly exceeding 50 mm
- Nickel-sized hail
- A tornado is possible.
The watch is in effect until noon July 25.
