Time for silverware and thanks after a successful season

KILLALOE – While the Killaloe Curling Club was full last Saturday, there was no one out on the ice. Instead, club members were enjoying each other’s company at the end of season banquet. After supper, club president Gerald Mullin thanked the many club members who made the season such a success. First to be acknowledged for his work preparing and maintaining the ice was Don Kuiack and his crew of helpers. Mullin also thanked the many members who have helped in the kitchen at the many bonspiels throughout the season. He also thanked Donna Lynch for her work in the kitchen. For organizing bonspiels, Mullin thanked Dave Shulist, Philip Skebo and Lea Walsh. Mullin said the club was always looking for new ideas, especially on how to encourage youth and enable them to become elite curlers. The idea of introducing mixed doubles to the club received a warm welcome from members at the banquet. Caterer Andrea Budarick of Palmer Rapids was thanked for catering the banquet by Mullin. Lea Walsh was thanked for organizing the banquet. For more pick up a copy of the April 25 paper.
