Small group makes a large community impact

BARRY’S BAY – “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” ~ Margaret Meade

Making a difference. That’s what we all dream of. But what if a number of us with the same goal all worked together. How much more could we achieve.

The Bancroft and Region Chapter of the 100+ Women Who Care organization attended their second meeting at Joy Bible Camp on January 21 and, together, made quite a difference. Numbering at just over 100 members, they managed to raise $6500 in just one hour, which was then presented to a local non-profit charity to address their specific needs.

100+ Women Who Care Bancroft Region was formed, according to Easton, “to bring together the women of the Bancroft region with the intention of bringing immediate financial support to registered charities in the Bancroft region.”
