It is with heavy hearts that we sadly announce the unexpected passing of our much loved Otto at his winter home in Florida. He was a devoted husband and travelling companion to Mary Huene Madigan for almost 40 years. Predeceased by his loving mother, Anna Soley of Halifax, NS. Dedicated, patient and loving father to Stephen (Tracey), Jo-Anne (Gerard), Lynn and Colleen (Michel). Cherished Poppa of Christopher, Madison, Frederic, Zachery, Katelyn, Josee, Jaclyn, Matthew, Nicholas, Benjamin, Luc and seven greatgrandchildren. Otto had no siblings but was adopted into the Madigan family. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.
He proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 29 years retiring as a Warrant Officer. He enjoyed curling, camping, attending music festivals, was a master of Sudoku and Freecell, faithful listener of Valley Heritage Radio and Chip FM and was an unwavering fan of his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Otto was best known for his strong work ethic, his faith and his great family values!
A service will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church, Latchford Bridge at a later date.
