Duncan Biernaski held a shutout through regulation and overtime, allowing a single goal in a shootout to propel the Barry's Bay U18 Bears into the B-Final of a tournament Dec. 13 in Barry's Bay.
BARRY’S BAY – The East End Storm, from the Ottawa area, took the win at a U18 hockey tournament last Saturday at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre, hosted by the Barry’s Bay and Area Minor Hockey Association. The team stormed back from a 3-0 deficit to take the win 4-3 over the Rockland Nats.
The tournament included Muskrat, West End from Ottawa, Rockland, Pembroke, Renfrew and Ottawa South, Barry’s Bay and East End from Ottawa.
The U18 Bears fell short in the B-Final, won by Ottawa South.
