Whitney Seniors enjoy Christmas potluck

WHITNEY  – On a snowy evening in December, a record number of people visited the Whitney Senior Centre to enjoy each other’s company, some great music and wonderful food.

Places were set for 68 diners but an extra table had to be prepared for the record number of people who attended the potluck dinner.

The potluck format provided a wide range of food. There were pirogies, cabbage and kielbasa, three different kinds of meatballs, a chickpea vegetable dish, a moose and potato stew, salads, beets, turkey, pasta and much, much more. Plus, there was a table laden with deserts.
