Bay Credit Union supports CRC’s Game On program

BARRY’S BAY – The Barry’s Bay Northern Credit Union celebrated the 71st International Credit Union Day by promoting a worthy children’s program.

On October 17, Branch Manager Lynn Beauchamp said the local Northern Credit Union wants to bring awareness to funding cuts of Killaloe Community Resource Centre’s Game On program. Game On offers after-school programming, focusing on physical activity, nutrition and forming health relationships, for kids Grade 3 and up.

The program ran every week in local communities spanning from Killaloe, to Palmer Rapids, to Whitney. It runs on a variety of different grants, however, one of the larger grants expanded Game On into a mobile program, ended last spring.
