Oshawa school visits Madawaska Valley to take in all it has to offer

COMBERMERE – Students from Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School in Oshawa, Ontario, were visiting the Madawaska Valley last week to enjoy the beauty of the area.

The Gazette caught up with the group on Monday, October 16.

“The students that are here today are a part of a program that we have in our school. Different schools in our province have this and it’s called a Specialist High Skills Major or SHSM for short. This is an opportunity for students to get extra recognition on their diploma,” said Steve Longhauer, teacher from Monsignor Paul Dwyer Catholic High School.
