Marriage Matters released

WILNO – The Polish Kashub Heritage Museum is delving into marriage history with an exhibition and the release of a new book written by the museum curator.

On August 4, Shirley Mask Connolly was on hand to official release her new book called Marriage Matters. It outlines various marriage customs and stories within the local Polish/Kashubian community, as well as how marriage connected other Polish communities in Quebec and Renfrew.

The curator admitted she became fascinated by the history of Polish and Kashub marriages when she first saw old wedding photos years ago.
