The event, which is called the Opeongo Snowbirds Old Snowmobile Show, is set to take place on March 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will feature a display of numerous vintage snow machines for everyones viewing pleasure.

Cheryl Reid, president of the Opeongo Snowbirds, made a presentation to committee to share some information.

Chair for the recreation heritage and culture committee, Carl Bromwich, said that last year the event was a huge success and said over 3,000 snow machines came through town as a result.

“It was just amazing. It was one of the biggest weekends we’ve had for sales in the motels,” said Bromwich. “We don’t want to lose that. It was such a priceless event.”

Bromwich said that last year they closed the street around the Railway Station to display the vintage machines.
