BARRY’S BAY – The audience howled with laughter as actors from the Stone Fence Theatre acted out some iconic scenes that took place at the historic Fred’s Hotel in Chapeau.

On the evening of August 8, a large audience gathered at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre in Barry’s Bay to witness the performance of Up at Fred’s – Allons-y!

The play is about Fred Meilleur, his family and guests, at the historic Fred’s Hotel. Fred ran the business for more than 50 years. Naturally, during all those years, many stories came out of the popular gathering place.
