BARRY’S BAY – The St. Francis Memorial Hospital is supporting a team to take part in a walk of ‘epic’ proportions.
The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation’s ‘Epic Walk’ is happening in Ottawa on September 16, and nine local walkers will be taking part to raise money for the St. Francis Memorial Hospital Mammography program.
In the past four years, the St. Francis Walkers have raised a total of $34,000, and 85 per cent of that is returned to help support the Mammography program at the hospital.
This year is special for the St. Francis Walkers. It will be the fifth time they have taken part in the Epic Walk.
