Templar Knights Motorcycle Club makes stop in Quadeville

QUADEVILLE – While many motorcyclists took advantage of a stellar day of travel throughout Renfrew County on September 8, one group of bikers known as the Templar Knights Motorcycle Club of Renfrew took to the roads for more than just the stunning scenery. Recognized for their charitable contributions within their local communities, The Templar Knights Motorcycle Club (Templar Knights MC) is an international organization with groups based in the United States, Europe, and the first Canadian chapter of its kind in Renfrew. Clint ‘Reaper’ McWhirter, president of the Canadian Templar Knights MC, said this was the group’s sixth annual Toys for Kids Ride, a fundraiser which partners with the Phoenix Centre in Pembroke, to raise money for toys for kids in efforts to make Christmas brighter for families in Renfrew County. Each year, the club makes a round trip on their motor bikes with members, along with family and friends, starting from and ending up in Renfrew. This time, after their group of 50 bikes left Renfrew, their scheduled stop for a break on the route and to pick up a donation was at the Quadeville Community Centre.
