Sue Klatt returning home as CAO

BARRY’S BAY – She has gone from a local, dedicated volunteer to CAO/clerk of Madawaska Valley Township. At the May 7 regular council meeting in Barry’s Bay, Suzanne, or Sue, Klatt was welcomed as the township’s newest CAO/clerk. During her regular address to council, Mayor Kim Love officially welcomed Sue to the township. “Ms. Klatt brings a wealth of knowledge, skill and plenty of diverse municipal experience to this leadership position,” Love said. “On behalf of council it gives me great pleasure to welcome Ms. Klatt back home to the Madawaska Valley.” Sue was born in Sudbury and raised in St. Charles. Her parents, Maurice and Jeannette, moved to Round Lake 12 years ago, where her brother Donald Bedard also resides. Sue’s sister, Monique Rochon, lives in Sudbury. Sue is married to Bart, a loader operator in Algonquin Park for Glen Visneskie. After they were married, they lived in Madawaska, where the couple owned a logging truck company for more than 20 years. This has given Sue the knowledge and perspective in challenges facing the logging and self-employment industries in the region. Pick up a copy of the May 9, 2018 paper to read the full story.
