Standing up against bullying at Palmer Rapids Public School

PALMER RAPIDS – Despite of the drab weather outside, all was bright in the halls and classrooms of Palmer Rapids Public School (PRPS) on Wednesday, February 26, as a hundred pink shirts and sweaters proclaimed that bullying has no place at the school.

School secretary Noelle Cawthray was not exaggerating when she said that Pink Shirt Day is a big deal at the school. The vast majority of students remembered to wear their pink. Principal Jude Kelley and all of the teachers participated too.

After posing for a picture, the kindergarten to grade 8 students proclaimed in unison, “Stop bullying!” Some students wore shirts that have the words “kind is cool” on them.
