St. John Bosco students take the trip of a lifetime

OTTAWA – On February 8, around 75 students from Grades 3 to 8 at St. John Bosco School in Barry’s Bay, took the field trip of a lifetime.

This field trip took students to Ottawa for the day. The day started early, as students boarded the bus at 6:30 a.m. and they made their way right to Confederation Park for a tour of the ice sculptures. They also went for a skate on the Rideau Canal.

After this, the students got the chance to take a tour through the Confederation Park. What came next was something these students will never forget.

The students had an hour on the spectacular Canada 150 outdoor skating rink located directly in front of the Parliament Buildings.

“The best part of our Winterlude trip was skating on the canal and skating on Parliament Hill,” said Jill Lunday, Grade 3 student at St. John Bosco.
