St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation kicks off Tree of Lights celebration

BARRY’S BAY – On December 1, the 16th annual Tree of Lights celebration kicked off the holiday season at the Railway Station in Barry’s Bay.

A couple hundred people were on hand to watch the lighting of the Christmas Trees at the Park and to support the St. Francis Valley Health Care Foundation.

Executive Director Toni Lavigne-Conway started the event by welcoming everyone. She then welcomed up Mya Stein form Palmer Rapids who played some Christmas carols on her guitar.

Following that Dr. Alex Atfield came up to thank everyone in the crowd for their support of the hospital.

Lavigne-Conway came back up to tell everyone that over the years the foundation has raised close to $500,000 through this campaign. She said they hope to raise around $53,000 this year to purchase a new heart monitor system.
