Passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 17th, 2019 at her home with her daughters at her side. Mary Shipton (nee Miller) died at the age of 90. She was the daughter of the late John & Susan Miller (nee Burgess) and beloved wife of the late Ernest Shipton.
Mary was the cherished mother of Kimberly (Peter Woodhouse) of Prince Edward County and Susan (Robert Boucher) of Toronto. She was the loving grandmother of Christopher (Shaylene) Woodhouse and Danielle (Travis) Flieler, and great grandmother to eight. Mary is predeceased by her brother John Miller and sister Peg Duchene and will be fondly remembered by her nieces Stacey Miller and Wendy (Brian) Helferty, and by her nephew Jack Miller.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the care of Quinte Cremation & Burial Services, 2-205 North Front Street, Belleville (613-962-7900). A private inurnment will take place in the family plot in Combermere, Ontario. From Mary: “I wish to say goodbye to my many friends and family who made my life so very interesting.
