Round Lake rectory rebuilt after fire

ROUND LAKE CENTRE – On the afternoon of November 24, the new rectory for St. Casimir’s Parish was joyously blessed and opened to parishioners and guests to view for a couple of hours.
“In seeking God’s blessing for this new rectory, the Lord has provided us, we praise him for his goodness and seek his continued loving care for all who share our new parish rectory,” Fr. Mervin Coulas, zone chair, began, at the parish hall.
Fr. Coulas then continued his prayers by remembering Fr. George Olsen, who passed away in a devastating fire at the previous rectory on March 20, 2011. Fr. Coulas led one decade of the rosary for the repose of the soul of Fr. Olsen.
Parishioners and guests, including Monsignor Ambrose Pick, then made the short walk to the new rectory where the blessings continued at the entrance.
