KILLALOE – Over 70 children and adults showed up for the Red Nosed Skate courtesy of the Township of Killaloe- Hagarty-Richards on December 28.

It was a very cold day but that didn’t stop the kids and their parents from taking advantage of the event at the outdoor rink in Killaloe.

The township provided the “red noses” along with free hot chocolate with marshmallows which were served in cups decorated with red nose pompoms to complete the theme and was served up by volunteers Nancy Gavin and Linda Gavin. The children also received Ring Pops to add to the sweet skate.

The Gavin sisters added that they are always looking volunteers to help out with the opening of the rink as well as other duties. If you would like to volunteer your time please contact the township.
