COMBERMERE – While Ontario Power Generation (OPG) have ample data on actual and predicted precipitation and its effects on water levels and flows, they claim no control over how much precipitation falls – that was the sorry message for those who were affected by the floods of 2017.
They also warned the frequency of intense weather events is increasing.
The meeting at Combermere was the best attended of the series of public meetings held by OPG in Eastern Ontario.
