Open house teaches fire safety

KILLALOE – Firefighters with the Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards fire department spent the afternoon of  July 16 educating cottagers and residents on the importance of fire safety.

The annual open house was held once again at the Round Lake Fire Hall. There were activities for kids and adult, demonstrations, as well as exhibits all aimed at fire prevention.

Members of the fire department showed off their skills when they demonstrated a vehicle extrication using a real vehicle. They also performed an air bag and car fire demonstration as well.
