WHITNEY– Residents of South Algonquin now have access to an early childhood education facility in Whitney. Housed at the site of the former Whitney public school, the Kids Castle officially opened their doors on June 19 with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
“We are so pleased to add Kidz Kastle South Algonquin to our suite of programs that we already offer here in the [region],” Bil Smith, executive director of the Community Resource Centre (Killaloe) said.
He made these comments at an open house event attended by parents, children, community members and local leaders.
“The CRC brings our Toy Bus Early ON parent and child programs here, we offer our Prenatal Nutrition programs, our Game ON sport and recreation afterschool program, and our licensed before and after school program,” Smith added.
With such a wide variety of programs available to parents and children, the completely refurbished space is being well used. Smith was quick to add that families using the daycare facilities are not the only ones to benefit from the new enterprise.
