New CEO / Secretary Treasurer for Madawaska Valley Public Library

The Madawaska Valley Public Library Board is pleased to announce that Natalie
Barrington has been hired to the position of CEO / Secretary Treasurer with a
starting date of November 21st to replace retiring CEO, Karen Filipkowski.

Natalie has been a resident of Barry’s Bay for nine years and an avid supporter of
public libraries. As such, she has been a Library Board Trustee for the past four
years and most recently assumed the role of acting Chair. As a Trustee she has

in Book and Magazine Publishing. Her resume includes twenty years of experience
in the educational publishing industry as an editor and permissions researcher.
Natalie states, “I’m grateful for this opportunity. There are a lot of exciting things
happening at the library. I’m looking forward to being a part of its next chapter. I
look forward to seeing everyone at the library!”

The Board and staff are very pleased to welcome Natalie to the position of CEO
and look forward to working with her.
