BARRY’S BAY– A group of 19 people, including three staff members, four parents, and 12 students from Madawaska Valley District High School (MVDHS) recently toured three amazing European cities over the March Break: London, Paris and Barcelona.

The group went on the trip with the organization EF Tours (Education First).

The group departed from the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport on Friday, March 8. After landing at the Heathrow Airport, three days were spent in London.

The highlights of London included seeing Buckingham Palace and the changing of the guard, eating authentic English fish n’ chips, admiring St. Paul’s Cathedral, and an excursion to see the massive Stonehenge and the city of Salisbury.

After the first three days, we hopped onto a Eurostar train for two days in Paris.

This was a high-speed train that went under the ocean! Along the way, we indulged in French cuisine such as baguettes, crepes, croissants, gelato, macarons, and crème brulee. We visited Mona Lisa at the Louvre, saw L’Arc de Triomphe on the Champs- Élysées avenue, and the Eiffel Tower.
