BARRY’S BAY – The Madawaska Valley Horticultural Society along with the Township of Madawaska Valley planted trees on June 3, to help beautify the Lakeshore park and to celebrate Canada 150.

Volunteers arrived early on a beautiful sunny morning to plant 33 Blue Spruce trees.

These trees are being planted around the Madawaska Valley water treatment plant on Lakeshore Dr.

The idea came through executive board member for the Horticultural Society, Julie Zurakowski who is on the recreation and heritage committee for the Madawaska Valley.
