Mayor acknowledged for her service by Shaw Woods Outdoor Education Centre

KILLALOE – A delegation with a long history with Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards (KHR) Mayor, Janice Visneskie-Moore, was warmly welcomed at the council’s February 4 regular meeting.

Fred Blackstein is co-chair of Shaw Woods Outdoor Education Centre. He met Visneskie-Moore when she was mayor in 1989 when the county was bidding for the 1994 International Ploughing Match.

“We have been friends and colleagues ever since.”

The pair have shared many experiences in the last 30 years.

“We’ve been through a number of disasters together, emergencies, floods and fires and everything else,” Blackstein said.

He pointed to another thing they had in common in the County of Renfrew.
