Local players to compete in 2016 Broomball World Championships

QUADEVILLE- Not many people can say they have experienced the privilege and honour of representing their country on a team. This thrill is about to become a reality for a few local broomball players, on the Team Canada Broomball Team, after earning that title last April following a successful competition in the National finals in Owen Sound.

Head Coach Jason O’Brien is proud to share that his team, representing the Eastern Region, will soon be playing in the 2016 Broomball World Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan.

In an effort to raise money for the trip, a Poker Run Fundraiser was held in Quadeville on October 22. With the competition just around the corner, the team will fly out on Halloween, and play their first game at 8 a.m. on November 1.
