Killaloe dominates intermediate soccer tourney

BARRY’S BAY – The community of Killaloe has reason to rejoice – both schools won the championships at the May 11 intermediate soccer tournament. Sherwood Public School played host to the games, which had senior elementary students compete for top honours. The B finals were held first with St. Andrew’s Catholic School going head-to-head with the students from George Vanier Catholic School. In the end, St. Andrew’s came out on top, winning the tournament 4-0 and becoming the B Champs. During the A finals, Killaloe Public School was pitted against St. John Bosco Catholic School. Both teams played a hard defence, as evident in the final score. But at the end of the day, there was only one winner and Killaloe Public School took home the A Champ title, with a final score of 1-0. For many more photos, pick up a copy of the May 16 paper.
