Killaloe celebrates Earth Day

KILLALOE – Though scheduling issues delayed it by nearly two weeks, Earth Day was celebrated in Killaloe on May 9, bringing many smiling faces to Station Park.

In addition to the musicians and entertainers who graced the stage, a number of vendors and information booths were set up, featuring organic foods, products, and information on alternative energy solutions.

The Valley Climate Circle took a lead on organizing the day, but it was originally scheduled to take place the week of April 25, the weekend following the official Earth Day on April 22. Scheduling conflicts with exhibitors and vendors sadly meant that the day had to be postponed.

The rescheduling was a success, however, and the warm weather of May 9 had a crowd out in the park in no time.
