BANCROFT – In the late morning on January 8, 2019, officers of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 62 South, North of Mackenzie Lane, Limerick Township.
Emergency Medical Services were on scene and advised officers and North Hastings Fire Services that the single occupant of the vehicle was trapped in the vehicle.
The 19-year-old female driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital, and further transported on to another hospital due to the extent of her injuries.
Highway 62 south is currently closed from the Town of Bancroft to County Road 620. Local traffic will have access south to Old Hastings Road near Upper Turriff Road.
A Technical Collision Investigation member of the OPP is currently on scene assisting with the investigation.
