George Vanier Catholic School a great place to laugh and learn for 50 years

COMBERMERE – On October 19, George Vanier Catholic School in Combermere will celebrate the school’s 50th anniversary. The event will take place at the school, 2782 Dafoe Road, from 11a.m. until 3 p.m.. Organizers have much planned for the day.

“There will be a petting zoo, Toy Bus, indoor and outdoor food options, raffles, face painting, balloons, a photo gallery, prayer space, visiting areas, school tours, and a large vendor market celebrating local artists and producers, including some who are GVCS alumni,” Anne Marie Landon, principal of George Vanier School said in an email to The Valley Gazette.

Landon encourages people to come prepared to do some shopping.

“The day will be a great opportunity for early bird shoppers to purchase fantastic Christmas gifts, for alumni, former staff and visitors to catch up with friends and meet new people and for all to tour the facilities,” she said.
