For the love of tractors

BARRY’S BAY- This past civic long weekend Bart Klatt and family invited the public to come out to view his personal collection of antique tractors and farm equipment on Hopefield Road. Social distancing rules were in play and the family even set up a drive thru for those who did not want to walk the field. Klatt has being buying, trading, and then restoring tractors and equipment for years. His love of tractors is very noticeable when you see how clean his collection is. Bart recently picked up an old McCormick-Deering with steel wheels and he plans on getting it running. When The Valley Gazette went to have a look at the collection it was very clear to see that Klatt’s children and grandkids are also very interested and have a lot of knowledge about old tractors. It is a family affair. Bart and the kids had an old 1940’s grain thresher up and running on Saturday morning.
