KILLALOE – As hundreds filled their tummies at the breakfast with the Easter Bunny event on March 22, members from the Killaloe and Area Lions Club were busy donating thousands of dollars to local organizations.
That morning, three large donations were made, including a $1,500 donation to the Giving Wings to Hospice Campaign, $1,000 was given to the Friends of the Killaloe Library and $500 went to the CHCR Killaloe radio station.
According to Lions Bingo Chairperson Jim Homer, the money was raised from a partnership with the Boardwalk Gaming (Pembroke Bingo Hall) and the Ontario Lottery Gaming Corporation (OLG).
