KILLALOE- Uncharacteristically, Mayor Visneskie-Moore made a statement at the beginning of Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards (KHR) September 19 regular council meeting.
Visneskie-Moore took the time to congratulate Councillor Carl Kuehl on his retirement after working for Valu-Mart for over 50 years.
“Council wants to wish you a good retirement.” Visneskie-Moore said.
She went on to talk about the importance of teamwork.
“I think I’ve said this before, council. We’re all a team, we often disagree and it’s up to us to make our case and we all have to walk out of here whether we lose or win and we still talk to each other. We’re all doing a job, we have the community, we all feel the same, we want betterment of the community.”
When Visneskie-Moore gave Kuehl a gift on behalf of council and they exchanged hugs, council and staff clapped and cheered.
