COMBERMERE – The Combermere Recreation Committee held the third annual Duct Tape Boat Race at Mayflower Beach on July 31.
With a total of 13 teams registered, the event was a big success, involving kids and their families in an afternoon of fun while raising money for a few projects close to the rec committee’s heart.
The first project is to purchase new equipment and hire a sensei to get the karate program going again. The others are to put up basketball nets at the Combermere rink so the space can be used in the summer season, and also to renovate the rink shack’s kitchen.
