BARRY’S BAY – The Bay Blades sledge hockey team held two exhibition games at the Paul J. Yakabuski Community Centre on March 23.
The Barry’s Bay team hosted the Ottawa Sledge Hawks and the Ottawa Sens sledge hockey teams.
Anita Jessup, coordinator of the event, said both games were a huge success.
“Feedback from the spectators, families and the other teams was all positive so it is definitely something that we would like to host again,” Jessup said. “Many people had the opportunity to watch a sledge game for the first time and our Blades teams were excited to be able to take part in their first home game.”
