A new space in Killaloe for readers and storytellers

KILLALOE – More than 60 people gathered in Killaloe on September 22 to mark the official opening of Love’s Healing Reading Room. The reading room comes out of one of the passions of George Linn, a psycho-oncologist who practiced in Kingston and Renfrew County, helping cancer patients. Linn died in May 2016 from pancreatic cancer. In the words of Linn, “Love’s Healing Reading Room is just that. It is not a library. Books do not circulate. It is an oasis from the hustle, bustle of the world.” Electronics and computers are left at the door. It is a place to contemplate. “I hope people find it a gift of our practice of giving and receiving Divine Love freely and of drawing others to it. It is a tangible, physical manifestation of my Love and all of you can come and know that I am always there. All of you have other connections to me too, and I will always be there for you when you call. Such is the beauty and glory of where we are all going.” Books were important to Linn.
