Local girl is raising money for hospital

BARRY’S BAY – A local girl is raising money this summer to help the local hospital.

Nine year old, Evangeline Bersan, or Evie as her friends and family call her, heard that the hospital needed a new infant X-ray support device called a Pigg-o-stat device and she decided she wanted to do something to help.

“She was inspired by her big brother Casey who raised $2,281 for the x-ray department four years ago,” said Constance Bersan, mother of Evangeline.

She decided that over the course of the summer she would have a raffle. The prizes are two stuffed animals that her and her brother made at the Build-A-Bear workshop and a stuffed pig that she ordered.
