BARRY’S BAY – The arena in Barry’s Bay was filled with delighted reunions as Madawaska Valley District High School celebrated its 50th Anniversary.
Craig Kelley and Darlene Visneskie chaired the organizing committee.
Kelley greeted the alumni and staff.
“It’s a pleasure to see many of you here from so many different years,” Kelley said before thanking Rose Miller and Wanda Olsheski for helping to create the slide show of alumni that played on the arena wall during the evening.
Alumni MPP John Yakabuski gave a stirring rendition of Oh Canada to begin the proceedings.
