Taste of the Valley returns to Barry’s Bay

BARRY’S BAY – The annual Taste of the Valley kicked off in Barry’s Bay on August 14.

Hundreds of people gathered at Railway Station Park to sample and browse items from 50 vendors from around the region.

“The regular Friday Farmers Market now has over 25 vendors, most of whom attended Taste of the Valley,” Culture and Tourism Coordinator/South of 60 Co-Curator Danielle Paul explained. “While it is a rain-or-shine event, we were lucky that the predicted thunderstorms held off.”

Vendors sold a variety of items, including hot food, fresh farm meats and produce, homemade preserves, arts and crafts and much more.
