Incumbent Visneskie Moore seeking re-election

KILLALOE – Killaloe-Hagarty-Richards Mayor Janice Visneskie Moore is hoping her track record on council will prove she deserves another four years as mayor.

Visneskie Moore grew up in Hagarty and Richards Township. She is the second daughter to the late Basil and Theresa Visneskie. Her brothers, Glenn and Dale, continue to run the family business that her dad started decades before.

She has two sons, Lee and Erik, daughters-in-law Michele and Meghan and three grandsons including Owen, Noah and Kaleb.

Visneskie Moore is no stranger to municipal politics. She has 29 years of experience on council, 26 of those in the position of mayor.

“I decided to run once again, asking the taxpayers and residents of KHR to support me for the position of mayor,” she said.

A large part of council’s job is lobbying the federal and provincial governments, Visneskie Moore explained.

“Both continue to propose legislation that often has huge negative impacts on our taxpayers and it is our job to advocate to our residents behalf to protect their rights,” the incumbent said. “I feel I have a positive working relationship with both MP Cheryl Gallant and MPP John Yakabuski and I am well known in Toronto.”
