OPP search for armed robber

EGANVILLE – The search continues for a man who
held up the Eganville Northern Credit Union (NCU)
on May 10 around 6 p.m.

Members of the Killaloe OPP Detachment and the
Renfrew County Crime Unit continue to investigate
as of May 13 and are also asking for the public’s assistance.

According to police, the suspect was armed but as
to what the suspect was armed with, police have not
said. With an oversized lime green lunch cooler, the
suspect fled and with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male and is
about five feet two inches tall to five feet seven inches
tall, and has a muscular build.

Police officials said at the time, the suspect was
wearing a black ball cap, a dark hooded sweater,
black running shoes and a pair of baggy, cotton, black
and white plaid pants.

On the morning of May 12, a red Dodge, single cab
pickup truck was found abandoned in the field of Serenity Bay Campground, located just east of the town
of Eganville on Hwy. 60. The vehicle was reported
stolen from the City of Ottawa on May 8.

Investigators believe the two crimes may be related.
