Sounds of Christmas

BARRY`S BAY – The students of Madawaska Valley District High School (MVDHS) showed off their talent during their annual Sounds of Christmas concert on December 13.

From bands to solos, electronic to country, the students proved to have a wide variety of talent during this year’s concert.
Starting the night off was a Grade 9 band, Licensed to Thrill, performing an instrumental piece, Snow’n.
The next performance was by Kasey Madigan, who sang Santa Baby.
The evening was filled with the sounds of young performers, and many parents could be seen in the crowd looking proudly at their stars.
Sky Archer was one of the talents throughout the night, and proved to be flexible when it came to performing either solo, or accompanied.
She sang Silent Night, which wowed the crowed, and then later on performed with a band called Epic Essence.
The What Whats showed off their stuff, and the trio was seen dancing and swaying as they performed Santa Has It, which was a version of a song by Adele, Rumour Has It.
Justina Sadecki took her place before the keyboard and performed a Polish song, dedicating it to her mother.
An original Beatles song was performed halfway through the night. Let it Be was sung by the group Beethoven’s Child, a band consisting of the drums, keyboard, bass and two guitars.
