66th annual Killaloe Lions Santa parade

KILLALOE – It was a warm day for the 66th annual Killaloe and Area Lions’ Santa Claus parade this past Saturday, December 12.
The parade began by Mike’s Tire Service and followed Queens St. through town where it looped at King St. before finally disbanding.
There were floats from St. Andrew’s Catholic School, local churches, the library and many local businesses, festively decorated for the Christmas season. The parade also boasted vehicles from the local O.P.P. and Fire Department with their flashing lights, as well as appearances from some locally elected officials, Mayor Visneskie Moore and MPP John Yakabuski. Santa and Mrs. Claus followed up in their sleigh pulled by reindeer, signalling the close of the 2015 parade.
The float contest winners this year were: 1st Place to Andrew Mask Renovations for their festive pirate ship, 2nd Place to Buckhill Motors for their vintage truck decked out with Christmas tree and motor, and 3rd Place to Alex McGrath and his horses.
