Died peacefully at St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Barry’s Bay, on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Born March 8, 1939.  Beloved wife of the late Andrew Theodore Golka (2005). Dear mother of Mary Ann Scervino (Fern), Janet (Murray Boileau), Raymond (Jo-Ann Cybulski), Elizabeth, Patti Nicholas (Eric), Andrew and Gerard. Proud grandmother to Anthony, Katrina, Sara (Matt Sherris), Krista, Thomas, Halina, Nicholas, Laura, Christopher, Merissa and Tyler. Predeceased by granddaughter Jennifer (2011). She will be missed by her sisters Barbara Noble (Bob deceased), Clara Ostroskie (Alex), Mary Yarascavitch (Benny deceased), Theresa Chapeskie (Lornie deceased), Rita Stenburg (Larry) and her brother Alban (Betty). She was predeceased by brothers Michael and Patrick. Visitation was on Thursday, October 6 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Heubner Funeral Home, Barry’s Bay. Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 7 at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, Barry’s Bay at 10:30 am. Interment Parish Cemetery.

Our sincerest thanks for the wonderful care from the staff at St. Francis Memorial Hospital and Pembroke Regional Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Cybulski for caring for our mother for many years. Thank you to the Heubner Funeral Home for your compassion and guidance. Thank you to the Sacred Heart League for the prayers at the funeral home. Thank you to Father Chris and Father John for celebrating the funeral mass. To the altar servers, Aunt Theresa and granddaughter Halina, thank you for participating in the mass. Thank you to Donna Recoskie and the choir for the beautiful music and Charlotte Kuiack for preparing the delicious roast beef dinner. Thank you to the grandchildren for being pallbearers - Anthony, Sara, Thomas, Nicholas, Christopher, Tyler. Finally, a huge thank you to Aunt Theresa Chapeskie, Aunt Mary Yarascavitch, Marie Nicholas and Mary Cybulski for all the time you spent with our mother in the last few weeks of her life.It was very much appreciated.
